MusicByJam is the stage name of a 21 year old musician that usually goes simply by the name Jam and is a graduate with an honours degree in BSc Music Informatics. As a child of London in the nineties Jam aspired to be like the great acts previous to him including Aretha Franklin, Michael Jackson, and the Beatles. His music today is a mix of grim, garage, rap, and soulful lyrics. Described as a more modern version of Motown at times, Jam is able to keep a soulful bass line very well throughout most of his songs.
One of the unique aspects of Jam’s releases and musical albums is the fact that he has his hands in almost every element of the releases from production to recording to writing. As part of his major, he learned how to produce albums in a studio and how to work with music software. In his spare time Jam also works as a sound engineer for South London’s Velvet Room Studio while also working on production for other recording artists such as Shamz, Ema The Kid, J. Ross, and Danny Gager.
While his work keeps him quite busy, Jam is currently getting ready for his new release and first full length studio album titled Best Before My Time. The album is set to be a mix of all the styles Jam appreciates mixing the old soulful sounds of Motown with the more modern pop and drum tinged songs.
